To meet businesses’ needs for on-demand color labels at a low cost, Epson has introduced its newest ColorWorks on-demand color label printer. Purpose-built for mid- to high volume batch runs in on-demand environments, the new ColorWorks CW-C8000 offers excellent print quality, reliable performance and high-speed printing with advanced connectivity and cloud printing.

Offering a range of advanced features, the ColorWorks CW-C8000 builds on the success of its predecessor, the ColorWorks C7500, to meet the high-volume label production needs of businesses in several markets, including prime and boutique, product ID, and warehousing and logistics.

“The CW-C8000 is built for the rapidly growing industrial label market that relies on fast printing and high image quality to meet product label requirements,” states Stevi Sterns, product manager, Label Printers, Epson America. “Delivering accurate colors, smooth gradations, precise barcodes, and sharp text, this new model is built to inspire businesses to ‘Do Labels Differently’ by breaking free from the conventional and embrace the new era of label printing.”

Plus, Mark Andy, a global manufacturer of narrow- and mid-web printing and finishing equipment with a specialty in the narrow web label industry, has announced that San Antonio-based Label Edge has chosen Mark Andy as its digital press partner as it enters the digital label-printing space. This installation marks Label Edge’s first venture into digital printing, complementing its existing fleet of Mark Andy 2200 flexographic presses.

The Digital Pro PLUS, a versatile hybrid digital press, offers flexibility and efficiency, enabling Label Edge to enhance its service offerings and respond to the evolving needs of the market. Designed to manage both short and long-run jobs, the press integrates seamlessly with existing workflows, providing Label Edge the capability to expand its customer base and enter new markets.

“Label Edge’s decision to incorporate the Digital Pro PLUS into their production line is a testament to their commitment to embracing innovative technologies that drive business growth,” says Steve Schulte, vice president of sales at Mark Andy. “We are proud to support them as they adapt to the changing demands of the label printing industry.”
